INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian women's track and field  and cross country teams have signed Helen Cunningham of Harrison High School as announced by head coach Mike Holman Monday afternoon.

Cunningham is a distance runner from West Lafayette, Indiana, In cross country, she has been a semi-state qualifier and named all-conference all four seasons and a captain for three years. She earned the sportsmanship award and was named team MVP twice. In track, she is a three-time all-conference nominee and has been a member of the 4x800 relay team that has won three conference championships. In 2015, she was the conference champion in the 3200 and has qualified for regionals twice in that event.

Cunningham was named academic all-state honorable mention her senior year and earned an academic honors diploma. She is the daughter of Michael Cunningham and Jennifer Crodian and has one sibling. She plans to major in secondary education in biology at Marian.
